About My Franklin

I am a writer and a photographer and although I’d lived in this town for almost nineteen years, I  had never taken a photograph of it until September, 2008.

This blog is about my early morning or late afternoon trips to seek out something that catches my eye for one reason or another.  I have discovered I love trains and trucks, two things you see a great deal of in this town, and intersections and traffic lights, also in great abundance, and my Queen Anne’s Lace  that border Beaver Pond.

I discovered them long after their summer bloom had fallen away, but their distinct beauty and resilience through this winter  has signaled me, and I hope to all who read this blog and see the photos, that we’ll survive whatever storms toss us around.    In times like these, creativity is the investment that never fails.

Plus, in my case,  it’s right outside my door!

  1. Are you the Pat Coakley that I went to in 1997 to get career counseling on how to semi-retire? If so, I like to tell you how it turned out. It’s an interesting story to say the least. :-)
